Your no-prep, high-impact library of SEL lessons that help kids grow in kindness, empathy, and real-world action — all through the power of picture books and the KIND Method.
But finding meaningful SEL resources that actually stick in your students’ hearts (and your schedule) can feel overwhelming.
Most lessons are either too fluffy, too complicated, or disconnected from the real world. And you’re already juggling enough.
You don’t need more busywork —
You need something that’s meaningful, ready-to-use, and created with you in mind.
Creator of the KIND Method
As a longtime educator, I wanted a better way to help kids understand big ideas like kindness, justice, and empathy and then do something with them.
That’s why I created the Team Kind Collective — a growing library of thoughtful, book-based SEL lessons that are rooted in conversation, creativity, and action.
Everything is low-prep. Everything follows the same simple structure. And everything is designed to build connection — in your classroom, homeschool and beyond.
A repeatable framework that moves from understanding to action.
K – KNOW
Start with a powerful picture book and spark discussion around a key theme like kindness, belonging, or justice.
I – INQUIRE
Introduce a real-world helper or nonprofit doing good work. Ask questions that help kids connect with the cause.
N – NOODLE
Get creative! Students design, draw, write, or build something that reflects their own connection to the topic.
D – DO
Put kindness into action through a simple, classroom-friendly service project or social good activity.
A Google Slides deck for whole-class or small group instruction

You've got questions. I've got answers.
The Team Kind Collective is a growing library of picture book-based SEL guides designed to help kids build empathy, take action, and make a difference — one lesson at a time. Each guide follows the KIND Method (Know, Inquire, Noodle, Do) and includes Google Slides, printables, and low-prep activities that connect literature with real-world kindness.
This is created for teachers and homeschool parents of preschool and elementary-aged kids who want to raise thoughtful, empathetic, and kind humans — without spending hours prepping.
Each KIND guide is just $5!
Each lesson takes about 20–30 minutes to get through a guide in four sessions and is designed to be flexible and adaptable to your schedule. No daily commitment required!
Nope! Everything is included digitally, and most activities use materials you already have on hand. Books can often be found at your library.
The Team Kind Collective is secular and inclusive. It’s rooted in universal values like empathy, courage, and kindness — and works for communities of all backgrounds.
The content is designed for kids ages 5–12, with flexibility to adjust up or down based on your child's needs and interests.
